And stood at his Feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his Feet with Tears, and did wipe them with the Hairs of her Head, and kissed his Feet, and anointed them with the Ointment. 39. Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him, faw it, he spake within himself, saying, This Man, if he were a Prophet, would have known who, and what manner of Woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a Sin ner. 40. And Jesus answering, said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he faith, Master, fay on. 41. There was a certain CREDITOR which had two DEBTERS: the one owed him five hundred Pence, and the other fifty. 42. And when they had forgave them both. Tell me therefore which of them will (a) LOVE him most? 43. Simon answered and faid, I suppose that he to whom he forgave most. And he faid unto him, Thou hast rightly judged. nothing to pay, he frankly (a) 2 Cor. V. 14. Prov. iv. 23. KEEP thy HEART with all Diligence: for out of it are 2 Cor. v. 9. Wherefore we LABOUR, that whether present, or absent, we may be accepted of him. Chap. x. 3. For though we walk in the Flesh, we do not war after the FLESH: 4. (For the Weapons of our WARFARE are not CARNAL, but MIGHTY through God to the PULLING down of STRONG-HOLDS) 5. CASTING down IMAGINATIONS, and every high Thing that exalteth itself against the KNOWLEDGE of God, and bringing into CapTIVITY every THOUGHT to the Obedience of Chrift. Ephef. v. 15. See then that ye walk CIRCUMSPECTLY, not as Fools, but as Wife, Chap. vi. 1o. Finally, my Brethren, be STRONG in the Lord, and in the Power of his MIGHT. 11. Put on the whole ARMOUR of God, that ye may be able to stand against the Wiles of the Devil. 12. For we wrestle not against Flesh and Blood, but against Principalities, againft Powers, against the Rulers of the Darkness of this World, against spiritual Wickedness in High Places : 13. Wherefore take unto you the whole ARMOUR of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the EVIL Day, and having done all, to stand. Phil. ii. 12. Work out your own SALVATION with Fear and Trembling. 13. For it is God which worketh in you, both to WILL and to Do of his good Pleasure. 2 Tim. ii. 3. Thou therefore endure HARDNESS, as a good SOLDIER of Jesus Chrift. 4. No Man that warreth, entangleth himself with the Affairs of this Life; that he may please him who hath chofen him to be a Soldier. 1 Cor. ix. 24. Know ye not that they which RUN in a Race, run all, but one receiveth the PRIZE? so run, that ye may OBTAIN. 25. And every Man that STRIVETH for the Mastery, is temperate in all things: Now they do it to obtain a corruptible CROWN, but we an incorruptible. 26. I therefore so RUN, not as uncertainly: fo FIGHT I, not as one that beateth the Air: 27. But I keep under my Body, and bring it into SUBJECTION: left that by any means, when I have preached to others, I my felf should be 2 CAST-AWAY. Heb. iv. 11. Let us labour therefore to enter into that Rest, lest any Man FALL after the same Example of Unbelief. Chap. vi. 12. Be not SLOTHFUL, but Followers of them, who through Faith and Patience inherit the Promises. Chap. xii. 1. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with fo SIN which doth fo great a CLOUD of Witnesses, let us lay afide every WEIGHT, and the eafily beset us, and let US RUN with PATIENCE the RACE that is set before us, 2. Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our FAITH; who for the Joy that was set before him, endured the Cross, defpifing the SHAME, and is set down at the right Hand of the Throne of Gop. 3. For confider him that endured such CONTRADICTION OF SINNERS against himself, lest ye be wearied, and FAINT in your Minds. 1 Pet. iv. 18. And if the Righteous scarcely be SAVED, where shall the UNGODLY and the SINNER appear? 2 Pet. i. 10. Wherefore the rather, Brethren, give Diligence to make your CALLING and ELECTION sure: for if ye do these Things, ye shall never FALL: 11. For so an Entrance shall be ministred unto you abundantly, into the everlasting KINGDOM of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Chrift. Rev. xxi. 7.
